Sunrise Cooperative Announces 2023 Patronage Distribution for Customer-Owners

Sunrise Cooperative announces the largest single cash distribution for member-owners in cooperative history.
November 16, 2023 - President/CEO George D. Secor announced Sunrise Cooperative will return $29.85 million in patronage to the cooperative customer-owners - 65% of this will be distributed in cash, $19.4 million.
Sunrise Cooperative, through the support of our customer-owners, had the biggest year in cooperative history, and produced $1.31 billion in total sales, with a net savings of $49 million.
In a video message, President/CEO, George D. Secor thanked customer-owners, "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We had a huge year. I say a lot that we we trail you by 12, 18, 24 months, good or bad. And as you've had very good years the last two years, your cooperative had a great, great year. I want to thank you for all that, and for the trust and faith that you put in all of us at Sunrise Cooperative."
Sunrise is also offering customers the opportunity to take part in the Patronage PrePayment Program which would allow customer-owners to return a part or their complete patronage check to Sunrise and earn an additional 10% credit when the patronage check is used to prepay for the 2024 season.

For example if total patronage is $1,000 then total prepayment on the account will be $1,100. This prepay can be applied to any future purchase from Sunrise Cooperative during the period January 1, 2024 to August 31, 2024.
